On Thursday Belfairs Ladies were entertained by their Lady Captain – Joan Howroyd for the Day. The weather was mixed with 2 down pours of rain during the morning, after the ladies had finished their round they were given lunch prepared by the Lady Captain. 25 ladies took part in the day with Tish Askins winning the captains prize, Joan Smith Presidents Prize (best gross), Sue Meddle, winning the Captains Prize. Other winners include Best front 9 – Lena Lovett, Best Back 9 – Christine Berry. Nearest the Pin on the 10th Sue Meddle, longest drive on the 6th for handicaps 0 to 20 Joan Smith and longest drive on the 11th for handicaps 21 to 36 Joan Smith. In the afternoon the ladies paired up with the men and played a mixed Greensomes stableford over 13 holes - 1st Ruth Ricakrd and Lee Mitchell 2nd place Linda Wellham and Bob Whale, 3rd place Simone McCarthy and David Gribbon
