Last week saw Belfairs ladies play another monthly medal this time EWGA Medal No 8.
Ladies turned out to enjoy more sunshine with the past clubs president Alex Meddle show some of her old form by returning a gross 84 – 17 = 69 and being reduced to 15. 2nd place went to the inform Gloria Goldring, after last week carried on where she had left off 88 – 18 = 70 and reduced a further shot to 17. 3rd place went to Hazel Webber 100 – 26 = 74.
On Saturday Belfairs Ladies played there first round match in the Whitewebbs Trophy. This a competition for all clubs that play on public courses and this is the first time they have enter. Again the weather was kind and the ladies made good use of their local knowledge and came out triumph with a 4 and 1 win over the ladies of Hainault Forest. Well done to the wining Team of Joan Smith, Alex Meddle, Gloria Goldring, Christine Berry and Andrea Clarke. A big thank to the caddies who gave up their Saturday to help the ladies to victory.
