On the last day of the recent good weather saw 24 Belfairs ladies turned out for their annual Spring Meeting.
The mornings play was stroke play and in 1st place went to Joan
Howroyd with an excellent score of 97 – 29 = 38 and getting cut 3 shots for her efforts. 2nd place was the ever improving Mandy Moir 100 – 27 = 73, 3rd was Gilliam Lang 94 – 20 = 74 after count back from Anna McLynn 102 – 28 = 74 (who also got cut 1 shot). Other scores for the morning were Scratch Prize Joan Smith gross 83, best front 9 Hazel Webber nett 34, best back 9 Christine Berry nett 34, longest drive Lena Lovett, nearest the pin on the short 10th Ruth Rickard. In the afternoon the ladies went out in 3’s and played an 8 hole stableford multiplier and 1st place with 36 points was Simone McCarthy, Lorna Steel and Christine Berry.
