The Ladies Guest Day held on Thursday 27 May was blessed by fair weather, the rain having stopped just before the first Tee Time.
The Format of Four Ball Better Ball was keenly contested by 32 Ladies. The eventual winners were Gloria Goldring (Belfairs) and Ann Carlton (Rochford) with 35 points, beating Chris Noden (Lady Captain – Boyce Hill) and Janis Haziedine (lady Vice Captain – Rochford) also with 35 points on count back. 3rd Place was taken by Simone McCarthy (Lady Captain – Belfairs) and Barbra Ridgewell ( Lady Captain – Thorp Hall) with 34 points.
Nearest the pin on 10th Hole was won by Dennise Stone for the guests and Pam Hayhurst for members, as a pair they also won the best Front nine. The best back nine was won by Jeanette Hughes ( Lords) and Christine Berry (Belfairs).
