Belfairs players that were playing in team events at the weekend were kept very busy as payers that were in both the NAPGC Clapham Common Shield and Kindred Finals ended up playing 54 holes of golf.

There was mixed fortunes for Belfairs as the club, in their inaugural year in the NAPGC competition, pulled off a nail biting 204 to 202 points victory in the aggregate Stableford Greensomes Competition to make the Area Finals. The victory over Chingford was a hard fought affair against a team that included several members of their Leslie Wood team that made the Quarter Finals of this years competition.

However on the day many Belfairs players put their handicaps to good use and after a slender 2 points home victory by the three Belfairs pairs home players there followed a 1 hour wait to see how the three away pairs got on at Chingford and they did not disappoint as they held Chingford to a tie making the home victory decisive.

Belfairs now await the winners of the match between Basildon and Hainault for the Area Final with the winners travelling to Leicester for the National Finals.

In the Kindred Finals Belfairs, the holders, put up a spirited display but came third to Thorpe Hall who were deserved winners.
