Michael O’Brien and Ron Murray continued their fine form this season as they were again both amongst the prizes as Belfairs held Stableford Competitions over the weekend.

Both players who have qualified for the September Gold Medal on more than one occasion this year occupied the first two places as O’Brien (20) posted a 36 points total for top spot and Murray (17) with 33 points was hot on his heels in 2nd. Ciaran O’Hart (19) with 32 points took third spot.

Over Saturday and Sunday the Stableford was turned into a Running Stableford competition due to the modest number of entries on each day. NAPGC partners David Gribbon (8) and Graeme Dale (18) both scored 37 points but Gribbon’s back nine was better than Dale’s and so took first place on countback. Mick Edmunds (4) was again consistent and posted a solid 36 points for third place.
