A busy week at Belfairs culminated with three monthly medals at the weekend.
On Friday, Stan Whitton's 79 was enough to take first place from Tony Ball (81) and Neil Arends (83).
Chris Shawyer (74) took Saturday's event on count back from Trevor Innard and Graham Jones (77), and on Sunday, Barry Meddle (67) comfortably won from Peter Mahoney (75) and Andrew Nash (76).
The fine weather and conditions for Captains Day made for a close finish and it was Nigel Warder with 38 points who emerged the winner followed by runner up Baz Patel (37) and third placed Peter Mahoney (36).
Performance of the week, however, goes to Lawrence Schooley and Baz Patel in the Daily Mail Foursomes. The dynamic duo beat Chigwell 3&2 on Saturday to record their fifth consecutive victory in the national event.
