The ladies staged their first gold leaf event of the year with victory going to Hazel Webber (nett 75) winning from Linda Wellham (77) and Barbara Hall (79) in third.
In the two winter finals played, a closely contested match finally saw Andrew Nash taking the singles title beating Baz Patel at the 20th hole. Nash was unable to complete the winter double however, as he and partner Kevin Gough were overcome 6&4 by Jon Howley and Ray Jones in the pairs event.
A large turnout on Friday saw club captain Frank Howroyd win the first of the weekend medals, carding a fine nett 65 closely followed by runner-up Rod Hall (66) and Mike Wellham (67).
The Mounsey father and son duo also had much to celebrate last week. On Saturday, young Nicholas took the medal with a nett 65 from Harry Smith (68) only for Mounsey senior to keep it in the family and win Sunday’s event, returning a nett 65 to win from Ray Beadell (69).
